Do you have older version or duplicate electronics items after getting newer ones for Christmas this year? Please consider donating your old Kindle, iPad or other tablet, handheld gaming system, etc. to a seriously sick child or his family. These items make a REAL difference for children and parents who are facing long, repeated hospital stays and are spending hours in doctors offices. They bring smiles, amuse and entertain, help pass the time, and even provide a powerful distraction from pain.
If you are interested in donating an item like this, please package it securely and ship it to:
Noah's Hands of Hope
101 Sherwood Lane
Greenwood, SC 29649
If you can include fresh batteries, any needed cords, or even a gift card for games/books/apps, that would be a huge blessing! Your item will be matched to a child or family who can use it and we will ship it directly to the recipient! This is a painless way to bring a HUGE blessing to someone who is hurting.
Your donations are making a difference! With your help, we've accomplished some amazing things since our first board of directors meeting just THREE weeks ago. Click here to take a look at how Noah's Hands of Hope is already making a difference for sick children and their families.
Noah is our five year old son and he has been battling a mitochondrial disease his entire life. In spite of fighting as hard as anyone ever could, Noah is reaching the end of his days here on earth.
Mitochondrial diseases have very little awareness and therefore there is little funding or support for families whose children are fighting this monster.
It is a serious disease - 80% of children diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease before age five won't survive to adulthood.
It is a savage disease - it has cost Noah all use of his digestive system (all nutrition is via IV), the use of his bladder (he has a catheter surgically implanted below his belly button to drain his urine), has damaged his ability to make red blood cells (he needs transfusions every other week), has taken away his ability to walk more than a few steps, has damaged vital organs, and will eventually take his life.
In spite of his suffering, Noah wants to help other children who are sick with mitochondrial diseases. In his honor, we've established Noah's Hands of Hope, Inc. Take a look at the "Our Mission" section to see the five ways we want to help these precious children and their families, then check out "How to Help" to see how you can help us make Noah's dream come true!
Noah's Hands of Hope is incorporated as a non-profit and we are working on obtaining our 501c3 status.
Please come back and visit again soon - we will be launching a complete professional site overhaul very soon!
Noah's Hands of Hope, Inc is a non-profit foundation dedicated to meeting the needs of children (and their families) battling mitochondrial diseases or other
